Santidad Pentecostal Iglesia Cristiana Cristo Viene

Pastor Juan Aldama and his Guatemalan congregation in Arkansas City, KS had a problem; not a 'huge’ problem but still a problem. Their congregation was steadily growing in numbers; especially their youth and children's programs, but the old dilapidated building they were renting was inadequate, inefficient and problematic.

As a faithful tithe paying member of the Heartland Conference, the church turned to the conference leadership and the Extension Loan Fund for counsel and suggestions. A nice brick church had come on the market at a very reasonable price. The church featured a full basement that would be perfect for the growing children’s ministry and also offer space for a kitchen and fellowship hall.

After some further analysis of the property  The Loan Fund was able to provide a loan to the congregation at a payment significantly lower than the lease payment they had been making for the inadequate building.

With the approval of the Heartland Conference Board and the blessing from Bishop Frank Tunstall, the Extension Loan Fund was able to grant the church a loan to finance the newer, larger brick building.

It was a joy for the Fund to celebrate with them at the dedication of the new building in the summer of 2009. The Pentecostal Holiness Church ‘Christ is Returning’ now has a permanent home with ample space for their growing ministries.
