When we look at the successes of individuals and organizations, we tend to forget that they each had a beginning which was small. Zechariah 4:10 teaches us to “not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
It is true of the Extension Loan Fund as well. Sixty years ago, the Fund began with a $100 savings bond sold by R.L. Rex to his son Lonnie Rex. Since 1958, the Fund has grown its assets to Sixty Million Dollars and helped establish more than 950 IPHC churches.
With a solid mission to help churches, we do not despise our small beginning but rather we celebrate it and rejoice that the Lord has so blessed it with His favor.
On March 5th, 2018, the Extension Loan Fund Board, Members of the Rex Family (Lonnie, The first Investor) and the IPHC Global Ministries Center staff celebrated with a meal and an inspirational message by Lonnie Rex.
